Charles V Hotel - Paris

The hotel has a lovely vibe, and the location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions like the historic opera house and the Picasso National Museum. Breakfast was great and definitely added to our experience.

One downside was the bathroom lighting. It could have been brighter. Overall our stay was quite pleasant.

Lovely hotel in Le Marais with clean rooms and great amenities. Room was too small for comfort.

Had fine stay on vacation. Got tastefully decorated and brand-new room with a bath, contemporary Parisian feel, as example - always come in handy. The location was best possible close to everything on a charming quiet street. It was approx 10-15 minutes' walk from L'as du Fallafel, serving fast food😀

The hotel, while charming, boasted a lumpy mattress and dim lighting that butchered any chance of comfort! I was merely expecting a complimentary upgrade to mend the chaos, but felt utterly ignored. How can you not have proper breakfast cheeses with a fromagerie nearby? I almost wrote a lovely review, but just couldn't!

Request a room on a higher floor for better sound insulation and natural light during your stay.

The stay was primarily to explore nearby attractions like the Picasso National Museum, which was just a short walk away. I appreciated the spacious high-quality room that provided a peaceful retreat in a vibrant neighborhood. The calm street offered a nice contrast to the liveliness nearby, making it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing.

Charming little hotel right in the heart of everything. The location couldn't be better, just steps away from the St Paul metro and surrounded by good bistros and shops. The breakfast options were nice. I especially enjoyed the pleasant breakfast room. Room was well-appointed but definitely on the smaller side, typical for Paris. I appreciated the comfortable bed and the cleanliness, but the shower pressure left a bit to be desired. It just didn't have that satisfying power. A coffee machine instead of instant coffee would have. The ambience was lovely, but I would have liked some more attention to shower quality.

The air conditioning was underwhelming, leading to uncomfortable temperatures on a warm day, and the bathroom lighting was particularly poor, complicating quick routines. There were complaints about the shower design causing flooding, which shouldn't be a thing in any hotel. It felt a bit overpriced for the experience provided, akin to a solid 3-star stay, yet it has its charms.

I enjoyed the charming room's cozy feel, but I was let down by the unusual bathtub shower setup, which was inconvenient. Despite that, I’d return for the unique ambience!

The Junior Suite was comfy for two and had two shower baths, one with a toilet, handy. I loved the free water in the mini fridge. The room had an electric kettle and tea/coffee maker. The staff helped quickly with a sofa bed issue too.

The location is ideal, surrounded by charming restaurants and shops. The breakfast room offers a lovely atmosphere and a varied selection. The staff were attentive, our needs were met throughout our five-night stay. I particularly appreciated the coziness of the common areas that provided a nice space to relax after a busy day.

The shower pressure could use improvement. It lacked the power needed for a refreshing experience.
